i have 12 yr old, 5 yr old and 1 yr old.

grrr teenager is PIA most days grrr

5yr old is always screaming and having tantrums

baby is still cute and only just learnign how to annoy everyone!

not sure which one is any easier. but if i could chose them all to be the one age i would choose teenagers ( so much closer to them all moving out! lol )

balances out in the wash

pros and cons of each age group.

it being 'hard' is just a state of mind tho.. :D

my teens give me fear, worry, but also cook dinner and i can leave them at home alone

my little ones.. need food made for them and reminders to wash their teeth, but i know where they are and have less stress.

I would say older, only cause I know how annoyed I make my parents

my 12 yr old is the worst for teeth brushing! 5yr old had a talk from a dentist recently, so he is little teethbrushing nazi, and baby loves toothpaste and the feel of the tooth brush... but eldest one grrr is a lazy boy!

Chrissa that's scarier than it sounds . I have two boys at home and one all grown . the thirteen year old has just reached six foot and the year nine girls are beginning to become interested in him (he's only in year seven:shame:) I don't have to tell him to clean his teeth or comb his hair because he's always in the mirror!!!
My ten year old still has to be told to brush his teeth and hair and change his undies and socks every day

but usually they both look at me like - :ecomcity:

I think it's easier now they are older but i do miss their cuteness when they were little. *sigh*

I find it harder with older kids because you expect they should know better so have less patience when they do wrong. I even feel that way about my 8 and 7 year olds now that I have a bub..before he came along I didn't expect as much from them..but now I am busier I expect them to do more without being asked.
My eldest is 21 and she gave us the ride of a lifetime during her teens:hair:. Guess my parents said the same about me during those teen years:D.
Thankfully they all grow up and leave home some day..hehehe.

I find it easier to look after older kids than younger ones. When they are more independant like feed, bath, dress themselves and sleep through the night. Thats when you can enjoy them more because your not so exhausted. You have to put the time into them keep them interested in sport or other activities outside of school and when older enough have a part time job. I find that keeps them focused and not looking for mischief. It especially helped through the teenage stage.
