silly question

I've had a killer headache all day. I've tried drinking water, sleeping, taking paracetamole and even just doing nothing for 30 mins. Nothing has helped. There is a slight possibility of me being pregnant and i don't want to take any risks at all. is taking aspro ok or should I stick the paracetamole that has already failed?

I would try not to take aspirin at all honestly.
It is a blood thinner and therefore affects your blood pressure and I don't know if its all that effective.

Have you got neurofen?

ibuprofen is a bit the same. My Pop can't take it because he's on blood thinners so I try not to take it. I know condine is fine and DH has just found some rapadine so I might just take some of that.

I had a feeling I should be avoiding aspro. thanks for confirming.

i would try my hardest to ride it out CD. maybe a warm shower or bath?

aren't u on met? Im only asking got i got my first pack yesterday at it says in big writing DO NOT TAKE WITH ASPRIN...

and ibuprofen is also out with pregnancy?

I rarely take panadol. :o I'm lucky.

but i'm funny about the painkillers i take and wont even take panadol unless completely necessary so i really dont know what is off limits in case ur UTD...

I'm very aware that codine is an opiate. The amount that is in one of those rapidine tablets so minimal. Its equivilant to 1ml of morphine. I've had up to 7ml when I've been in hospital. I've also had to take stronger pain killers when I was getting a mass amount of mid cycle ovary pain. Pain killers are always in this house due to DH having a broken back. He's on morphine ATM and has been on stronger.

I suffer from migraines and been advised by both a pharmacist and FS that it is ok to take Panadine, panadine forte and have also been told i can take mersyndol forte. I was also advised to try panadine rapid soluble, i find that works good luck. That advise has come from both FS and Gp has also agreed.

Was told to stay away and not use nurofen at all if i could help it. Particularly before o.

Thanks for confirming that Susan. I remember Jean taking panadine forte during her pregnancy with Nathan so I had a pretty good feeling it was ok.

Its taken the edge off the headache though. Off to bed soon to see if I can get rid of it before I have to deal with 4 kids tomorrow:laughing:

i have had migranes during this pregnancy- only thing that helped was panadine forte

hospital gave me some and dr's have said its ok
