I need to gather some info real quick...

What age do kids start school in SA?

How hard is it to pick your primary school?

Is there "better" suburbs, or "avoidable" suburbs :o?

Are the GP's full or are there plenty of Dr's (In Vic it can be really hard to get into see a GP)

What's the job market like for bookkeepers/accounts?

Oh god oh god ummm I'm fairly certain school age here is 5, when they begin "reception" year.

Umm lots of unavoidable suburbs, I can PM you some that I know of if you want I really don't want to offend anyone who lives in any :laughing:

Oh as for GPs, I have the numbers for a couple of after hours doctors and they're fantastic.

I see a doctor in a small suburb and I never have any trouble, only have to wait a small amount of time and there's no gap to pay.

What age do kids start school in SA?

Each school varies slightly as far as intakes go. Some do and intake every term, some only take new reception kids in terms 1 & 3 (ie. start of the semester etc.)

Basically the law says they can start school fromt he time they turn 5 but do not have to start until they actually turn 6. So if your child turned 5 in March then depending on the school you choose they may start in term 2 or 3 - or else you may to hold them back until say term 1 the following year right before their 6th birthday.

I know it all sounds complicated - but it really is quite simple: They CAN start from age 5 but MUST start by their 6th birthday :thumbsup:
