this is probably going to be a silly question but anyway, are lower back pain and mild cramping signs of ovulation or could it be a sign of implantation? No cm of any description in sight and af is not due until end of the month. Thanks guys your help is always appreciated.:)

bjk2924 -

Its really not a silly question at all! I think the answer is that cramping and lower back ache could be both implantation and ovulation! Although, i would probably lean more towards ovulation, seeing as your AF isnt due until the end of the month.

In a 'normal' cycle ovulation takes place 14 days before your AF.

Hope this helps a little. :)

:iagree: i would definitely put it down to ovulation- so if you are TTC, now would be a great time for lots of BD :valentine:

:fingerscrossed: for you....

hi all , well I am not so sure that the back apin and cramping were ovulation as I still have the back apin and the crapming going on, it;s coming up to almost a week now. Anyone got ideas about what else could be going on?
Also now getting a little bloated after I eat, now have to undo buttons after eating lunch(not a very good look at work:laughing:)

I'm not sure what else it could be but if it helps when I'm around ovulation I get really bloated after eating too..I can get AF (lower back) cramps too..you could check the position of your cervix..

But otherwise I guess you'll just have to wait and see :fingerscrossed: Isn't the waiting fun?!

I always get bloated in the second half of my cycle...particulary at night. I think mine has to do with the increased progesterone..this unfortunately is a sign of both AF and pregnancy...why are the symptoms all the same?

As for the back pain and cramping...it could be O pain, however it could also be implantation...although if it's started that early its so hard to tell. I guess time will tell.

Happy waiting.

When I ovulate I cramp in my stomach and back. Have slight nausea and low energy. So it could very well be ovulation. Check your cervix .. if its High(need to use your middle finger to reach it) Open (you feel like a little dimple and it wont be open enough to put your finger in .. but you can just tell its open) and Soft( like when you press your lip or even softer) If its ovulation you would have EWCM(egg white cervical mucas)

If its implanation pain .. you could experience implantation bleeding in a couple days. I dont think you would experience implantation pain for a week .. but .. ANYTHING is possible. We are all different. If you are TTC then I hope its implantation.God Bless! I hope its your :bfp: coming!
