Need liner with Simmons Paw paw cream????

After your suggestions I have ordered some Simmons Paw Paw cream to use on my bubs bum. Just wondering if you need to use a liner with this cream to protect the nappy? I have heard it is vegetable oil based not petroleum.
(It hasn't arrived in th mail yet but I am looking forward to seeing how different it is from the Lucas brand.)

i would use a liner anyway, cos even if it's petro-free it'll still have vegetable waxes in it. they should come out washing in hot water, but still.. it's easy to do liners anyway, i'd rather be safe.
