Don't know what to do

What would you girls and guys do...

When i took this job, in my interview they told me i will be doing property Managment. All i seem to be doing is Admin.
We had a people come in today that i have been talking to over the phone asked the sales person (director) if i will be looking after there property when they rent it out, she said no Melissa is just Admin...

I just paid $700 for my registration, and i don't want to do just Admin... Should i look for another job or talk to her about it?

I would definitely talk to your boss. Were you given a job description?

If not, I would ask for a meeting and say something like you want to make sure that you are doing your best etc and it would really help you if you had a formal job description in writing. At least you will know where you stand and can go from there.

First off I think you have to decide if you are willing to stay in the job if it is just admin.
I would calmly talk to the boss and let her know that you were under the impression that you would be doing property management. Be firm and tell her that this is what you see yourself doing - not admin. Just be prepared that she may say take it or leave it.

If you feel comfortable having a meeting I suggest say you want to talk about your career goals and how much you are looking forward to getting involved with the property management side of things which were outlined in the interview. Mention your registration and how exciting it is going to be!

Write down some dot points so you can focus on what you want to say.

Maybe the person who said that you were 'just doing admin' doens't have a clear picture of what your role is suposed to be?

The person who said it is the director of the company, and who told me my job description in the interview. There is only 3 of us in the office, and her son is the property Manager...

I dont know if i do feel comfortable talkin to her, as she can be quite a b**ch. So i might have a talk to Glen (her son) he also conducted the interview.
