Hi Ladies

I have a couple of silly questions for you.
Well I think they're silly!

How can you tell if your cervix is open/closed etc? I can tell if it's hard or soft, but I had no idea if you could tell whether it was open or not!

BBT..........does it drop when you're due for AF? On the day or the day before?

Sorry if they're silly questions, but i'm new to all this!

I'm not great at the cervix thing, but I can usually tell if its high as to how hard it is to reach, but mine always feel a bit open since I've had a bub.
As for the temps, wondering the same thing myself as its my first month temping. :confused:

When my cervix is open, I can generally fit a finger tip in if I want to. Recognising the difference just takes practice. I tend to check when I'm in the shower so I can squat down which brings the cervix down lower.

In my experience, my BBT starts dropping before AF but AF will always come the day that BBT drops below my coverline.

Do you know hte first time i felt my cervix, I didn't actually realise thats what it was, and I freaked out, saying to my hubby, OMG i got a tumour in my fanny, there is a ball lump thing!!

Then he said na its always there and has little hole in the middle!

Sorry know thats a bit too much info, but then I realised it was my cervix.

The websites seem to say if you have already had children your cervix is always slightly open, but will be so more at certain times than others.

I think if you check regularyl you should get to know your own body more as you go along, and that is what makes it easier to figure out what is normal and changes for your own body.
