I think drs generally want c-section scars to be healed at least a year. Less than 2 years and you may find that OB won't want you to try for a vaginal birth. Best to talk to your doctor really.

I had a c-section and I was told by my ob that 12 months was good but 18 months was better.

I asked him at my six week check up, the look on his face was priceless. :o

Well my girls are 14 months apart both c-sections and I fell pregnant when Zoe was about 5 half months old. My Ob said that the scar was fully healed and it was all good and being pregnant would not change that and that once healed it was healed. Aparently when I asked about a third and having them close he said it was all good and my scar tissue was great. Hopefully that helps.

My friend has just had her second child with a 14mth gap. She had ceasers with both children. Towards the end of the second pregnancy she felt her scar was about to come apart from being stretched so much. I think it would be OK but you may not have the option to deliver vaginally.

I say go for it!!

I had a caesarean as well so I checked with my OB as to when I could start trying again (We have always wanted our kids close together) at my 6 week check up and he said that I was fine to begin then.... He was quite happy with the way my scar had healed and when I asked if I would be able to try a natural delivery he said it would depend on the pregnanacy and that he wouldn't rule it out.... (my first bub was breech the whole way through and I had gestational diabetes...) so I think it depends on the doctor and the person.....
