Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has used these and is not doing IVF??
My naturopath thinks that it may be useful for when I fall. I have been having some trouble conceiving, thinking that I may be fertilizing but not implanting.
Any ideas????
This is some info that I copied about these:-
Progesterone pessaries are sometimes used to restore/maintain progesterone levels during early pregnancy. Progesterone is most important to keep the endometrium (the lining on the uterus) lush to sustain the foetus. Progesterone levels can be most unstable during the first 12 weeks of any pregnancy, until the placenta is fully formed and functioning. Therefore some patients may need to take pessaries until this time.

Hi Bigtum2b
I used them this time around, after one stillbirth and two m/c I wanted to do everything I could this time. I'm now 25 weeks, don't know wether they helped or not. My progesterone levels weren't that low, but dr said to use them anyway.
Good luck and take care

I had done IVF with all my pregnancys .First one I took the pessaries for 2 weeks and then stopped..had bleeding went on them again the bleeding stopped and unfortunatly lost the bub at 16 weeks
2nd one took them again for 2 weeks and then stopped lost that baby to an unrelated complication at 20 weeks
3rd pregnancy High risk doctor kept me on them till 13 weeks and then stopped no bleeding no problems.
I will definatley be on them next pregnancy even though they are abit icky. I think it depends on reasons of IVF I have PCOS which does lower progesterone levels
They can test your progesterone levels if you are worried

Hi Becckles
Thanks for sharing your story, and congratulations on your beautiful daughter Eliza. You have certainly been through an ordeal, which is quite inspirational.
Great idea with having the test. These are some of the things that you don't often think of.
Thanks and good luck

Hi all:wave:
This post is probably a little late in relation to this matter, but thought someone might be able to give me some info/advice anyway!
My husband and I conceived our DD who is now 14 months with the help of Clomid as I have PCO. I was put on progesterone pessaries once I had a BFP.
With my second pregnancy we conceived naturally which was a VERY pleasant surprise. I discovered I was pregnant at 10 weeks (missing a couple AFs is normal for me!!). We had two ultrasounds which revealed that everything was perfect! Then I miscarried at 13 weeks!
I was wondering if anyone has been through the same situation, ie went through AC due to PCO, was on pessaries, then conceived naturally and wasn't on pessaries then had a m/c?
It's probably a long shot, but any ideas/info would be fantastic!!
Thanks!!!

Hi i have been using progesterone pessaries and im not doing IVF.
I got pregnant a month ago but miscarried at 2 weeks as my progesterone levels fell dramatically. This time around the doctor has recommended to start the pessaries even before pregnancy is confirmed and to stay on them for now.
Im willing to do whatever it takes in order to have a healthy pregnancy/birth.
