This is really just a quick post to let people in water restriction areas know that you can use cloth and save water too! :yelclap:

We're in Brissy and under pretty tight water restrictions - hosing once a week for 30 mins, 4 minute showers, 170L per person per day total etc etc.

We got our rates and water notice a while ago and our water usage total had dropped by over 100L per day from the same time a year ago! And we are still way under our daily limit for having three people in our household.

We use cloth full-time so it can be done!

There is always more that can be done, but I was so excited!:smiliedance:

:smiliedance: for you. Proves that cloth doesn't use anywhere near as much water as some people think.

We're not really doing anything that different, although we did get a new toilet that only uses about 4L of water per flush!

We have a water saving shower head, only do dishes once a day (we don't have a dishwasher), we use grey water on the garden, have short showers (once a day) and ds doesn't have much water in the bath.

With the nappy washing, I do one load every couple of days, with a cold pre-rinse and warm wash cycle, but I adjust the water level to suit how big the load is.

We could definitely do more, but I reckon we're doing pretty well!
