Has anyone seen today's short but sweet article in todays' Daily Telegraph (Sydney) at the start of Reusable Nappy Week! (http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,24486552-5001021,00.html)

PS - If you see articles or hear about reusable nappies in the media this week, let us know!

I saw something very briefly on Today show this morning but it was more along the lines of cloth being cheaper than sposies and had images of babies wearing terry flats. No mention of our beloved MCNs :cloud9:

i think if they show pictures of MCN's then there might be some appeal for people to use them. not that there is anything wrong with terry flats. but i think people would get more excited about a cute MCN then they would about a square piece of terry. i think they would be more surprised that there is such a thing these days because when most people think of cloth, they think of the terry flats. and when they think of terry flats they think of napisan and hard work. MCN's are easy to use and easy to clean. i think they should make them more known. which i guess what RNW is about but doesnt help if media only shows terry flats.

It is a bit out of ANN's control what the media take photos of - in this instance they wanted a photo of a baby in nappies despite being sent photos of babies in various styles of nappies.

You may have noticed the snappi in the photo - at least that's a modern variation on traditional nappying.

I guess in the context of the article too, traditional squares are the cheapest option available...

I've been slack with cloth for DD but for RNW she has been in cloth since midnight (I have a challenge for her to be 100% cloth all week) . She is in terry flats at home and yep, they still contain her poo-splosions and are cheap and easily available for all.
