View Full Version : Campbelltpwn or Liverpool??
I am 13 weeks preg and due in November. I have just moved up to Wattle Grove and was wondering what your opinions were in relation to Liverpool Hospital and Campbelltown Hospital.
I am going to make appointments for tours at both, but I think that if any of you have given birth at one of the hospitals that would help with my decision!
I have to have another c-section with this baby so I wont see the labour wards, mainly just interested in what the staff and rooms were like.
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
Well i gave birth at Liverpool & they are wonderful !
Of course i had one middie i wasnt too keen on but that always happens there has to be someone you dont get along with or the likes.
If you look at this thread ive already had a big talk on it but please feel free to PM if you have any questions !
I had DS1 at Campbelltown Hospital and they were good. DS was born in 2004 and i think they have done a bit of work to the maternity ward since then but the rooms were still pretty good.
The midwives were really nice, there was 1 or 2 that i wasn't so keen on but you will probably get that anywhere. Overall i had no major complaints and if we were still living down there DS2 would have been born at Campbelltown too.
this probably want help but i had DS1 at livo and DS2 at ctown (both c/s)
they were both really good and they both have there good points and bad
I am actually having DD1 at liverpool hospital mainly due to my mum living close by and they have better facitlys with the new born care unit and exercise classes for after bubs is born and things like that
pm me if you wan tto chat about the hospitals or anything
i hope this helps you a little
i've heard terrible things about campbelltown hosp. but i gave birth at bankstown so i wouldnt know. but 15 years ago, my mum almost died at campbelltown hospital giving birth to my brother due to thier negligence.... not good.
I gave birth to my first son at Campbelltown hospital and was transfered to Camden. I have nothing but good things to say! Campbelltown staff were great, I can't speak for everyones experiences but mine was fine. I must say though that if you can I would highly recommend being transfered to Camden hospital for after the baby is born. It is almost like being in a private hospital. The staff helped me so much and even took him for the first 2 nights just so I could get a little more sleep. I was luck enough to give birth to my second son in Camden as well and it was great.
Can't recommend them enough. Good luck with everything, i am sure things are getting excited as you watch you belly grow every day!!!
