My cousin is having identical twin boys and has already fallen in love with a name for one, Matteo. We're italian and her husband is portugese and that plays a large role in how they name their children. Also she wants both babies' names to start with the same letter - so 'M'. The other choice they had was Massimo (which i really dont like) ... naming identical twins names that sound familiar seems a bit wrong but oh well...any suggestions?
My husband's name is Manfred. I like it and it is also a European name ( German meaning man of peace).

 Hi
One of my fav boys names is Mathias - from Matthew.
But I guess they would both be Matt...hey.
what about Marcus...not sure if that is Italian but Mark is a pretty universal name.
Sorry couldnt help anymore.

I have twins, I named them compeltey different names, (Hayden and Riley if you were wondering) I refused to have similar names, its too confusing, the kids are going to get mixed up as it is (especially even more if they are identical, mine are fraternal, and alot of people even get them mixed up) If they want the same letter, try I (personally for me) would try to have their names very different sounding, but its not always possible
Matteo and
Marco
Just make sure their middle names start with different letters ;) Mail can get very confusing then

thanks for the suggestions guys! She actually initially had the names marcus and matteo....and I agree with the comment about naming children completely different names due to the fact that their whole life they are gona look identical....they need individuality.....but i dont want to impose and tell her my opinion on the subject considering that they are her babies and she'll do what she feels fit. Anyway I knew two identical twins whose names were mark and matt and it was horrible! trying to tell them apart and get their names right b/c they sounded so much alike was a hard time. Anyway I think she decided on matteo and massimo - unfortunately. thanks for the help! oh and she isnt giving them middle names.......sadly

Hi there I think Marcus is lovely
I too have to agree that naming them so similary is going to cause big problems, especially when school age. Its not always going to be cute IYKWIM...
We have boy.girl twins so not too stressful for us obviosuly but ours end the same IYKWIM...
Hayden
Brooklen
Good luck to her - where is she located? She should join the local multiple Birth club for some help/ assistance
