Just wanted to say that my 17 month old girl is finally sleeping through this week.

For the past 4 nights she has gone down at 7.30pm and I dont hear from her till 6.00am is each morning.

Shes still breastfed after her bath and I gave her a little rafferty's cereal at 7.15am ( not that I really need to offer it coz at her age she doesnt really need it). Shes a good eater and at dinner times she usually eats a variety of foods, most of which come from our plate too which is also a relief.

Up untill this week my girl has been waking for 2-3 booby feeds a night and its been driving me bonkers since she was born.

I never thought it would get to this stage even though a bub hubber said that it will happen one day and that it was just a matter of time!

The first night she did it I couldnt sleep coz I kept thinking when is she going to wake.
Now I can quite comfortably put her to bed and not worry that she wil wake DH and myself while watching our fav movies. We finally have peace and quiet and for some reason Im loving her heaps more.

We went out to a wedding last night for the first time since she was born and she managed really well on cows millk with grandma and I was so proud of her coz she slept through again!

Its also helping me look forward to ttc #2 next month as its been a long 17 months!

All along weve been blaming teething or that shes too hot/cold.

What a difference a few uninterrupted nights of sleep has made to my life :)

Oh that is great news! Hope it continues for you. Life is so much easier when you get a good nights sleep. I totally know what you mean about loveing her more. My dd has just started being more settled. Still not sleeping the best in the day but alot happier baby. We can actaully go out and she is happy looking around in her pram. I feel the same like I love her even more!

Thanks ladies for your responses....Still sleeping through since daylight savings!

I hate to brag but its so much better now. It was the strangest feeling the first night. Ive even stopped giving her any more food after dinner and shes totally fine..just a little breastfeed.

I thought that daylight savings would change everything and that we would have to work around it but it made things totally better. For some reason shes been extending her morning sleep....wakes at 7am now too and I have to wake her in the mornings. She must be doing a lot of growing now :)
