View Full Version : Sleeping Bag Question
I have started using a sleeping bag for my little one. I put him in a wondersuit and then in the sleeping bag, just one I bought from Big W that is fleesy lined. Surely this isn't enough to keep them warm? I put him under the blankets as well. Just wondering what others do? Do you use blankets as well or just the sleeping bag? How many covers?

Well that is what I used for Cj last winter, mind you he had a heater in his room. This winter I am not sure what I'll do as he is in a big bed now & I cant leave a heater in his room iykwim. He wont go under covers, he freaks out!! So I have been layering his clothes.
hello,
i use a grobag sleeping bag, which comes with a dressing chart depending on the weather. i have him in the 2.56 tog which is the winter bag, temperature control his room with a heater so its 21oc and i sleep him in a singlet and flanny pj's under the bag with no covers. i have a flanny sheet on the bottom for him to lie on.
i first tried a normal bag from k-mart but was not successful and not made out of blanet material.
cheers,
amy

I've got a polar fleecey sleeping bag and he sleeps in that, under blankets (dressed in long sleeve singlet and growsuit)... so cuddly!
Hi - my DD also sleeps in a sleeping bag - but we recently invested in a great bag from curlytops - www.curlytops.com.au - it is like a "bubbydoonabag" ( my DH's phrase) - just gorgeous and snuggly and has a tog rating of 3.
All of those sleeping bag sites say not to put blankets on the bub when in a sleeping bag - but to dress them warmer.....
Anyway you may want to try a warmer sleeping bag or warmer jarmies:)

Thanks I will definately check that out. I can't afford one of those gro bags though as they are quite pricey.
