Well after never hearing from the acupuncture lady a couple of months ago, i rechecked the email i sent, and i sent her the wrong number!!!! So i sent her my real number and asked her to call me, and she just called me and we had a chat...
For the first time since all this choas, i actually feel like someone is confident in being able to help! Considering how strong placebo effects are, just having someone say i can help you, feels awesome to hear... So I have my first appt next wednesday morning before work (ouch i have to be there at 7:30am!)... she has recommended i go on TCM herbs (i wasnt happy with the naturopath so im happy to change over) and have acupuncture once a fortnight... She told me she anticipates that treatment will last for about three months, before tappering treatment off at which time she anticipates my body will be able to look after itself...
She sounded really nice, and interested!!!... when i asked about the success rates, she said everyone is different but that she could confidently say everyone that has seen her has been in a better position afterwards despite individual differences in outcomes. I was having a tough time at the end of last weekend, so this has really picked me up and helped out... It all fits so nicely with only 3 months of the yr left... I'm hoping to lose 5-10kgs before chrissy, and with acunpunture and TCM, im hoping 2009 might be the yr for me!!!!
