Oh dear, there are times I wish my DH had gotten into a building trade instead of the automotive industry...........

Our cooktop large element had been going for a while so when it finally "went" DH took it out to be replaced. After running around town being told "sorry love we dont stock those, you'll need to see XYZ who will order it in for you and it'll take 1 week or 2 months and cost $$$$$.

I found a supplier who had one in stock for a good price. Anyway DH put it in and BANG blew a fuse. After not realising what he had done announced to me that we needed a new stove:rolleyes:

Anyway went to buy a new fuse only to be told "sorry love we don't stock those no-one has in a year! You'll need to get a new fuse box!!!!!!!"

WTF, is this some conspiracy with sparkies to get us all to part with our hard earned $?

grrr DH and I have been working so hard lately, it just seems like every week there is some random emergency or expense that just eats at our cash flow, it's getting seriously depressing:crying:

thanks for listening to my rant......

Isn't it annoying when you get some money set aside and you think you are doing really well, then something goes wrong with an appliance, etc...
I remember when the light in my oven went.... I went to a lighting place and bought a replacement globe only to have it blow a fuse and shatter in the oven!!!! Glass everywhere.... I ended up having to call an Oven Repair guy and he was great... he said that they sold me the wrong type of globe... not suitable for ovens or being over a certain temperature... He even cleaned the oven for me and told me where he buys the globes. He only charged a small amount... think he felt sorry for me LOL
Hope you have got your situation sorted out.... :hugs:
