I am 37 weeks and my OB has ordered weekly CTG's to be done on the baby and he is talking about inducing me early due to complications I had eariler in my pregnancy.
I understand these monitor the babys heartbeat? So i guess if the heartbeat is too slow or too high he might induce me asap....anyone know???

Hi there!
Yeah i have a couple of weeks back - the reason why is that I fell over, even though i landed on my knees and hands, my Ob still just wanted to make sure that bub was ok (as you could jolt a bit). Bub was all good!!! :hugs:

Twice a week, every week for the last month. I'm finding them really lovely, actually. I listen to her heartbeat, hear her kicking around, get given a cup of tea and a biscuit. For that half an hour I know that she is totally safe and happy. I'm not sure there's a huge amount of value in them, really, after all it only proves that she's fine whilst I'm on the monitor, but it is reassuring.

I had a few with DD & I too found them reassuring.

I just got back from having mine...I also found it very reassuring and relaxing actually. Its so nice to hear her heartbeat and she was so active through it all! Oh and i had a braxton hicks tightening during it too, totally painless, didnt even realise actually!
All goo with bub, so I am happy!:yelclap:

Is that he thing where they put big straps all the way around your tummy etc and monitor heartbeat and movement plus any contractions etc that might take place? Prints out a graph thingy? :o
If it is then yes I had it weekly with DS1 from about 32wks. Along with weekly ultrasounds as they were worried he wasn't growing.

yes thats what it is CTG - Cardio Topical Graph or something I think its called. Yes my OB has been worried about growth the whole way through and now the placenta, but I seem to always make the standard benchmarks some how.

I think they just called it the fetal heart monitor when I went on it. That was over 6yrs ago now though lol.
Hope all is good with your bubba :) Mine was fine, he was just little (5lp11oz)

Yeah I've ben having them a few times a week for the last 3 weeks or so because of high blood pressure. It's relaxing & reassuring. It's kinda sad knowing I won't have any more after next week because I'll be induced.
