With DD, we were the first one's to have children and all our friends were the single/ partying kind, as well as the fact we were trying to move to a new city so we didn't have one.

DS - I sort of forgot!

This is most certainly our last baby. I figure if I don't have a baby shower now I never will. We're doing a 'sweepstakes' for this baby, and the main reason I'd like to have a shower is to get all my freinds together and put their bets on! Have I missed the boat?

Is it rude to ask for pressies with your third (even though everyone is aware that we sold/gave all our baby stuff away)?
Is it even more rude to ask that people make an anonymous payment off the pram and baby car seat that we have on layby?

I like the idea of just getting together at a nice cafe on a Sunday afternoon.

i too never had any baby showers.but ive been to others who are on their 2nd or 3rd shower.its difficult to say what people will think.are you just doing it for the pressies is what some will think?with my 2 sons i lived 6 hrs away from family and friends so missed out there and with my twins i thought people might think i was greedy as i too gave everything away after ds2 was born.and plus i needed 2 of everything.so i missed the boat.if you want one ask your family to organise a small get together and get them to mention how youve never had a shower and thought it would be nice to have a fun afternoon seeing that this is your last bubby.im sure your friends will agree.and maybe like me because you never had one while you were away maybe they thought you didnt want one.
