Hi

I have been looking on ebay for bottle warmers and want to know which one is better or if there are others around.

The first is one that you plug into your cigarette lighter in the car and you can warm up the bottle. Does anyone know how long it takes to warm up? And then how long to warm up the bottle? Are they any good?

The other is a heat pack that you activate this little thing and the whole pack heats ups in a minute, but then you have to boil it to melt in again so its really only for one time use. Does this work good though?

Are there any other types of bottle warmers around that are good?

Thanks
Natalie

Hi I have one of these. It is good but does take longer to heat up the bottle than a minute...try about 15 mins. Its for a one off emergency or planned trip as like you said you need to boil it to get it back to liquid form

What I would do is have the bottle only about 2/3 full. Then get a thermos of hot water and use that to top up the remainder required then add the formula. I once read that you should only heat the bottle for 10mins max but I can't remember why? Bugs & nasties perhaps?

Sorry, should have clarified in my earlier post I heat the water Before adding the formula.

One thing you could do to save money is to fill the bottles with hot water before you leave home, then by the time you need to use it, it should have cooled down to the right temperature. I did this with all my kids as I couldn't justify the price of a bottle warmer.
