Well I’m 36 weeks and have been having Braxton hicks like crazy and a dull period pain in the front and back...
First just a lot of Braxtons now the dull pain... No Braxton’s...
I woke up this morning to discover a brown almost sticky discharge.... (Sorry TMI) it has been all day, seems to be getting lighter, but has an almost pink tinge…
Do you think this could be part of the plug coming out? Could this be some pre labours signs?
with my previous pregnancies i was induced so i had no pre labour signs or anything.... Im gettng a little excited.... IM also feeling like ive been hit by a bus... really un settled...

Like you I have only ever been induced so wouldn't know spontaneous labour if it hit me in the face , but it does sound very promising.
All the best.

Thanks..:)
Im not to sure eaither.. Ive decided if it gets any worse i will call my MW to see what she thinks... i will take some panadol too...
Ive been doing some reading and it looks like it's a common thing that can go on for days even weeks...
I just like to hear other ladies who have had the same thing happend, and how long.....
i always thought there would be contractions with the pain..... do they come later seems at the moment it's just the dull pain with one off braxtion....
and why is it worse at night????
Well I've never had the discharge, but I've had the regular daily braxtons with each of my babies. With my first I think they started about two weeks before I finally delivered.
The day I went into labour I knew I would because they started in the morning, instead of waiting until tea time at night. But I didn't need to go to hospital until the evening anyway.
I'm now 37 weeks pregnant with my fourth, and tonight is my second night of them. I don't think I'll deliver for another two weeks (although I'm desperately hoping - I hate this!) but yeah, I'll be very uncomfortable until if finally does happen.
Braxtons can become painful as you get closer to the real thing, but usually they are painless or just uncomfortable. If you're lucky, however, they could be getting early dilation or effacement done so that when you do go into labour it's a bit shorter.
Mum told me I probably get them at night because that's when my body's getting tired, and having trouble coping. I don't know how true that is, but it's a theory :)

Yeah I don’t know, but I hope all this “stuff “is getting me ready…. I'm SOOOO READY!!!:yelclap:
I get a little nervous as my last labour was only 2 hours, so I get paranoid one minute it will be a dull ache that I'm thinking oh yeah…. Just plod along see what happens to an OH my god we need to get to the hospital NOW kind of thing... Hahahahaha
And I will keep you posted... I know there have been 100 threads about this stuff…. But like I said before I like to hear other stories so I can either be super excited this is it... or nuh this will go on for weeks…. I know everyone is different… but I love to compare….. Makes me feel more “normal “in a way...
I know with my 2nd I went in to be induced I was already 4 cms and had no idea... no signs or anything, just a few Braxton’s .. The reason I was induced was for a bladder infection… (I had previous kidney probs with my 1st so there were no chances being taken...)
Anyway I’m still here J

My advice.... grab yourself a glass of warm milk and a lettce sandwich (seriously! Both have known soporific effect, which is a fancy way of waying they make you sleepy) and then put yourself to bed.
If you are in early labour you should be using this time to bolster your strength with sleep, not staying up wondering. Trust me... when things start moving quicker it'll definitely wake you up!

awww im sorry, hopefully its not to much longer! the last few weeks go SOOO SLOW! :( but before you know it you will have your baby in your arms :D :hugs:
