totally confused

ok so i was on the pill for 3 months following the birth of my third child but had to go off it because it made me moody...so i went off the pill on the 5th of sept and had a normal period from the 8th to the 14th...had sex on the 15th, 21st, 24 and 29th and started spotting yesterday (2nd of oct) and i am still spotting today.

prior to this i have always had a 35-40 day cycle so if this is my period then it is way early for my normal cycle....does it sound more like implantation bleeding? i never had this with any other pregnancy so im totally in the dark of wether it is or not...and if it is implantation bleeding how soon could i test? i have heard so many variations like you can test while still bleeding or waiting up to 2 weeks after.

I always find after coming off the pill it takes a couple of months for my body to get back into the swing of things.

It might be your period, it might be implantation bleeding or it could be 'nuisance' breakthrough bleeding. I'd wait a week or so and if you dont get your period, test then.

If it is implantation bleeding, you wouldn't get a + yet anyway, because you dont start producing hcg (the hormone that HPT's pick up) until after the embryo is implanted.
