View Full Version : Today my baby....
I thought i would start a thread about new thing our bubs have learnt. We can post the little things they have mastered-however big or small- here without being competitive. Just good old fashioned boasting!
I will start..today Jazz started to point at the pictures in her bath book!
And she has started passing me objects and says 'ba'. I think she is trying to say 'ta'..awww. Also she has started to actually stack objects on top of one another and is so proud of herself. She smiles after she does it because we clap our hands and and she knows she is doing something cool as she keeps showing us over and over:laughing:

what a good idea! by the way i luuuv ur pic shes so beautiful! a sweet little 'pixie' :D
well the wasnt today but last night Brodie did a half roll, meaning i lied him on his side leaning against my leg on the floor and waved a toy in front of him and he reached out for it and did this kick thingy that made him roll onto his tummy! not sure if thats a milestone but we were wrapped! he's done it 4 or 5 times since.
and isabella counted to 100 all by herself today! woo hoo!
Today DS said to me 'you the best mummy in the world' :D (well, he has been telling me things like that for a week or so now) He also tells his sister she is the best sister in the world...and tells his daddy that smoking is yucky
Tomorrow DD wil be starting solids...as long as I don't find out in the morning DH needs me to do stuff for him :fingerscrossed:
Today DS Ethan (5 months old) learned how to blow rasperries :D
He thinks he is so clever, blows a big one then laughs !!
Adorable but i dont think i have ever seen so much saliva !!

Liv in the last couple of days has learnt to give kisses. She watches me give a kiss, be it to a book or toy, then I tell her 'give kisses to whatever and she gives a big open mouth sloppy tongue kiss. Awwwww

I caught Brianna saying Hello (she actually said the proper word!) to a baby in a pram beside her at the shops yesterday! So cute! The other baby just looked at her with a puzzled face!
:o Eliza is 4 weeks and 4 days and s miles when you smile at her and can roll on to her side and then to her back again :D ohh and she can hold her head steady :)
Luca has started child care in the last week and after spending only two half days there has picked up so much from the other slightly older kiddies.
He is now pulling him self up on lounges, coffee tables, window ledges and legs (mine):D to standing and doesn't seem happy unless he is at that height now.
He has started to not only be able to empty all the rings off his stick with ring thingy, but is trying sooooo hard to put them back on too. so cute.
He has in the last couple of weeks started giving me big sloppy kisses and can spend what feels like hours blowing big raspberries on my arms has even been known to do them while breastfeeding  hard not to laugh when he does that.
It is so good to have a good brag to others who can appreciate these 'huge' little things.
My DS has just started laughing
It's such a gorgeous sound, I love it!
He's 4 months today :smiliedance:

DD who is 13 1/2 months had a big conversation with me the other night in the bath tub about her belly button. She just was just so intrigued. And she is giving me the biggest cuddles with arms wrapped around my neck. :smiliedance: :yelclap:
I just love her affection.
Thanks for this thread...what a wonderful idea:smiliedance:

My DD is 7 months & 1 week old today and started crawling just on 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I thought it was odd that she was using me to pull herself up to standing every time I sat on the floor near her! I thought she couldn't possibly be pulling up yet, but today she was pulling up on anything & everything she could crawl to!!
And even more of a shock for her poor disorganised mumma (who hasn't even got around to baby-proofing everything yet!!), she has even started to let go once she's up, and will stand on her own for a second or two!! On one or two such occasions, she has even attempted a wobbly step!
Looks like it's time to drop that cot matress down!
My little fella ethan is 13 months tommorow and i just love the way when he see,s his teddys on the ground he picks them up and holds them to his shoulder cuddles and goes awwwww tedieeeeeee it is so cute! and the way he knows yes and no now, when he is sooky i say awww do you want a bit of booby he will shake his head and say noooooo or nod and run for me! i love taking in everything he does.............they grow up to fast:no:
cheers....jo

My little one is 11m7days, and yesterday I ducked out early, came home and here was DD2 with a rusk that DD1 had grabbed off the kitchen bench and fed to her - BEFORE BREAKFAST!!!
Anyway, grabbed it off her and she built up this huge "WAH! BIkki!" I said to DH - "did she say bikki?" YEP certainly sounded like it. So in her vocabulary she has mum mum mum, dadadada, and bikki, and another sound that was remarkably like "peakaboo", of course bikki and peakaboo were one-off things so I can't get tooooo excited.

ozzy is just over 8 months and has been crawling for a couple of weeks - today he learned how to pull himself to standing using the coffee table or sofa! yesterday he figured out how to get under the coffee table (but, to his distress, not how to get out again!). today he also realised that now he can crawl, he can chase the cats :D he's very happy about this - the cats are not :p
they do grow up so fast... great thread :)
and Milis, congratulations - the most beautiful sound on earth is your child's laughter :smiliedance:
