Oh my god I feel OLD  . All you gorgeous Young whipper snappers who chat on here seem to be in your early twenties. Are there any grannies like me (Im 32) out there on the coast? Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against younger mums at all, I I am just curious to see if there are many of us "older ones" out there in Bubhub land. Ahhh to be 21 again....hang on my memory is shot so I dont recall what it is like!!!
Hi Kate,
I am another GC "oldie" at 31 (32 later this year). Reading some of the threads, I sometimes feel a bit old too, but then again it's a good way to catch up on what the young folk are doing these days.
I haven't been before but I thought I would make the effort tomorrow and go to the Gold Coast meet, it's at 10am at CENTRAL PARK, PACIFIC PINES - CORNER HOTHAM DRIVE AND ARCHIPELEAGO STREET.
Maybe if you are free we will see you there, we can be oldies together!

Hi Kate,
I too am an oldie - I am 34. Know what you mean I feel awfully old - looking at the ages here.
I am not able to meet up tomorrow -so I was going to organise the meet for next week at my house - then my DS can run wild and I can chat!!!!! Hopefully you can make it.

Hi Kate and Shelbyville,
I'm a 33 year old Gold Coast mum. I don't think I can make it to the catch up tomorrow because my DD spends Wednesdays with my mum.
Maybe next time and I'd love to meet you!
Naomi
Hi Naomi, it's a shame about tomorrow, but you are so lucky to have a mum that will give you a day off! Hope we can meet next time. :)

There's hope for some of us yet - apparently we're not considered "older" mothers until we hit 35!!
I'm "only" 32, although I alternate between feeling 25 & 55 (sometimes in the same day *sigh*)
I'm 30! I always thought 30 was old, but now that i'm here i've changed my mind.... i still feel oh i dunno 25. I was going to say 21 but i definately don't feel that young!
I am 27 ;) will be 28 in 3months though.
Not sure if I feel my age or not but I got a pedicure yesterday (bub is getting heavy to cary round lol) and the lady thought I was in my early 20s:yelclap:
im on my way to 29 :( while we should not care about our ages...i work in nursing homes and see the results
im at hope island (boykimbal area , near the servos) and will be at the meet today...if ds behaves long enough:D

Hi ladies,
Nice thread.. I sometimes feel as someone else put it numrically challenged... But hey your only as old as you feel (oh God!), but its nice to know we have some older mummies on the coast.
How funny is it that you wait what feels like a lifetime to turn 21, then Boom you are just about hitting 30.
Hope some of you are coming to the girls night out next Saturday so we can meet:thumbsup:

What's all this about being "old" in your thirties?!? Are people going to mistake me for fergus' granny at the school gates?? .... I hope not... where did I put that eye cream ... ahh... next to my hearing aid and my incontinence pants!!
Isn't sixty the new forty or some such nonsense which would then make us barely teenagers!!
Can't make the meet this week or the girl's night out (going in for some botox!) but looking forward to catching up with everyone soon.
Sara
ps I'll be 32 this year ... (does anyone else have to think really hard now about how old they actually are?... used to just slip off the tongue!)

Love it Scarlet... and yes I do forget my age all the time, DF had to remind me that I am 29 this year and I was like umm NO Im 27 so I'll 28, then had to count the years on my fingers... Im not only old, I've also lost my brain cells:p
yes once i hit 25 i lost all memory (must be early alziemers) i know about how old i am ie within a couple of years but now i have to go "ok i was born in 77 so that makes me...."
Hey..
I'll be 29 in December.....O my gosh!!!:o

I thought you meant ACTUAL granny until I read your sig! It can happen, someone I went to school with followed in her mother's footsteps and had a bub at 16, and voila, a grandma at 32, ouch! :D

ROFL scarlett! Yes, I'm 32 next month, and accidently told someone I was 30 a couple of months ago!

Hi there
I'm Josephine and yes I'm 30 & married to a 38yr old
Just moved here on the Gold Coast from NZ
I have a beautiful girl Grace 21mths who thinks shes a comedian already
So hi from me
Hey Kate
I am another GC old mother -- 35 tomorrow! Although I only feel 21 - NOT. I've got a 2 and a half year old daughter and am five months pregnant with twins on the way. We've recently moved to Robina from Sydney and no absolutely nobody in the area with kids! Perhaps there might be some GC Mums that may want to meet up with the kids on the south side somewhere -- the Park at Burleigh Beach is fantastic. Anyone interested? Also, this is only my second time on this "chat" forum so if I am not doing it right, someone just tell me!!

Even though I live north of you I love taking Grace to Burleigh Beach and we drive round everywhere so if you are keen for a meet at the park or somewhere one day if you are up to it
