Just need some advice...

My daughter who is 18 months old wont get in her carseat...

It started about 4 months ago where she arches her back or goes all stiff or wriggles so much that I cant physically get her in her carseat...She did it for about 2 months then stopped and I thought it was all good but has just started doing it again...

The last effort was today where we were getting into the car at the shopping centre and 10 minutes later i was still trying to get her into her seat...It makes me absolutely stressed and in the end I had to put her into her brothers carseat & he had to go in her carseat...(for the first time). I've tried bribing her with a toy or giving her a drink or even starting the car and driving 2 metres which has worked on the odd occassion

Normally she ends up in huge tears and i end up totally stressed...

Any advice as she is driving me insane...:banghead: :banghead:

Good news
This is just a phase

But you can do one of 2 things,
get her a car seat same as her bro's
or
perserve.

good luck

A friend had this problem with her 16 month old, and she found teaching him to climb into the seat himself (with a bit of back-up from mum) seemed to solve the problem. I guess he felt a bit more independent and in control IYKWIM.

Hope this could work for you. :)
