Hi!!!
I havent been to Tumble Tots yet, but would love too hear how you go there!!!!
It seems to be the most affordable class around and was thinking of taking Lachlan to give it a go ,We had to give up Gymbaroo cause the pricing was getting stupid!!!!
I would lllooove to hear from you!!!
Thanks

Wow, I had no idea that the Richard Rushton centre did anything like that.. it's within a nice ten - 15 minute walking distance from my place, down along the river too nice walk. If I had known I would have gone there instead of Gymbaroo in Booragoon. Doh!
Let me know what it's like Claire.
Wow!! Am sorry but had to peak into this post 'cos I lived in Gosnells many many years ago and went to Wirra Birra Primary just next to Richard Rushton Comm Centre. It seems like a lifetime ago. I used to live near Astinal Drive in Gosnells and walk down by the river to Richard Rushton all the time when I was a kid with my dad to pick my bro up from his Tae Kwon Do classes. Am now living in Melbourne. I bet it's all changed heaps. In fact I can remember when they built that centre. Good old Perth. Geez I miss it.
I haven't been to tumble tots but I know about 4 mums who do go and they all love it :) There are two sessions - one for littlies and one for bigger kids.
There is also Tiny Tots Gym at The PCYC in Maddington. 2 classes every friday 9.30 & 10.30 for 18m-4yrs. $5 per week. This one I have been too and it's great ! :D

My DP went to Wirrabirra Primary, he has also lived all his life on the next street over from Astinal Drive(he lived on Prescott Drive!).
Anyway, I have heard about Tumble Tots at RR, heard it'smeant to be good, but I haven't been. Pity that I work otherwise I'd have joined u!
Bugger.. I can't believe I didn't see anything about this in the Parents Paper (maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. Oh well, there's still 8 more weeks of gymbaroo, but I'll be looking into this after that... being able to walk there would be soooo much better than driving to Booragoon.

well Tumble Tots was a great morning out.
Aiden really enjoyed it, until the lady made him do a tumble the cat and then he looked like he was going to cry!
Mostly he ran around playing with all the toys, they have an obstacle course, bit like at a dog show, and also some bigger toys. Then they have singing and dancing and playing the instruments.
Normally when I go somewhere new, Aiden sits beside me for a while until he has sussed it out, but today he just ran off and that was it!
I would recommend tunble tots
and u get a biscuit afterwards!! :yelclap:

Hi Claire
Jade look sat gymbaroo like she looks at everything.. 'meh'.. she's a bit 'take it easyish' that one (like her dad).
I'm not thinking much of gymbaroo personally. There's nothing they are showing me that I don't already do at home with her.. so I'm not sure we will be continuing next term or year. It's *is* only week three though, maybe it'll improve??
Glad to hear Aiden had a good time at TT. DO you think it'll be suitable for Jade's age? Maybe next term?
You are, of course, more than welcome to park your car here and we can walk together. Even if we don't go 1. I could do with the walk and 2. you can come for coffee afterwards :D

Hi Tash
Yes, I think it would be good for Jade, Friday is 1 - 2years but I think the younger one is either monday or tuesday. For $6 a time, you should maybe take Jade one of those days before you give up gymbaroo and see what you think.
I found the info on the gosnells leusire world page, I think it is under the gosnells city home page.

that would just be easier!! I see it is for 10 months up, but Jade isnt that far off. I liked it, but like i said, I havnt done gymbaroo so cant compare. It is fun for aiden and he slept from 12.30 - 4.45 afterwards so fun for mummy too!!! x x x
Hi Claire
thanks for that link. I see the 10 month old class is on wednesday mornings, we have swimming then and that's really my priority at this stage.
Oh well, it's only three months until Jade is one   , so we might be able to join in with you guys (if you are still going) then :)
The Gosnells PCYC is on Lower Park Road in Maddington - it's off Kelvin road behind the football oval (you can see it from Kelvin road).
The PCYC one has a bit more actual Gymnastics than Tumble tots (from what I can figure out from comparing what others have said about tumble tots).
The PCYC one starts with a warm up circuit to music. mini tramp, tumble mats, balance beam with hand rails etc Parents walk next to little ones but the 3+'s do it on their own.
Then everyone stands in the middle and they do a simple warm up (stretches, jumping, clapping, bending) to music (BIP a bumping and a jumping song from memory).
Then after that the children are divided into about 4 groups to rotate through the gym apparatus stations. Uneven bars, rings, jumbo trampoline, high and low balance beams, mini tramp and tumble mats. At each station the kids are helped and coached to do simple gymnastics. It's all very kiddy friendly.
After that all the groups come back to the mat for ball and hoop play (sometimes ribbons or the jumbo parachute). Then they finish with cool down dance/song and then it's time to go home.
I goes for the full hour. So for $5 it's very good value. The Coach is Francis Higgins who also helps run Sutherland Park Soccer club (Huntingdale) and Maddington Little Athletics Club.
The PCYC has a heap of other stuff that they do too. Karate, girls & boys gym, belly dancing, bingo, etc. and it's a non profit organisation. :D

Sounds fantastic!!! I live in Canningvale too so I will def be giving them a call!!! sounds just like gymbaroo without the extreem cost and the travveling to Booragoon!!! (I did that for two terms and got so sick of it!!)
Thanks for the info!! Cant wait to give it a go!!!

Hi there :flowerz:
I would love to put my little girl into something we go to playgroup on tuesday but we need to do more.
On another day just wanting to know if anyone knows the cost and what days they do it at the Gosnells community center. One of the mums at play group was telling me a little about it but her girl didn't like it to much but I would love to try it out for sure.
Tamika needs more to do during the week I'm running out of ideas and due to have a bub in Nov :smiliedance:.
