Sure I saw a thread about CM and a teaspoon of Robitussen. Does anyone know:idea: Love some idea. Got the Vitex sorted, just checking on this one.

 I haven't tried it, but if you use the original sort, then it will thin out your CM (in the same way as it'll thin out the mucus in your head and chest). Be careful not to use the cough mixtures which also dry out your nose, because apparently they'll dry out your CM too.

Good luck :fingerscrossed:

Little Fish, pardon by ignorance, what do you mean by normal: not chesty, or for a dry cough? is that right?

I was planning on using Robitussin this cycle as well - - but I might not be needing it:D

I got my info from a fertility specialist, here goes:

1. Make sure it's the Robitussin with no letter's after the name.

2. The recommended dose for improving CM based on an acticle from 1982,
is 2 teaspoons taken orrally 3 times per day.
- if mucus still appears thick and doesn't have good stretch -
increase to 4 teaspoons 4 times per day(max dose).

3. Each dose to be taken with a big glass of plain, natural water or H2o - - you should also be paying attention to water comsuption as one needs water to be able to produce mucus.

4. Begin treatment on Cycle Day 5 (CD5)

...good luck...

Harmony, you are a wealth of information. Very greatful!!!!!!!!!
My fingers are:fingerscrossed: for you, of course you won't need.
I'm due Thursday, but not feeling very confident, so I'm heading to my friend in the pharmacy this arvo.

It should be Robitussin origninal, you don't want your CM drying out....

Is that what you were asking?

just pleased to be able to help lissylou

:fingerscrossed: it does the trick

if it happens that I'm not expecting then I will be using it in conjunction with vitex, which I'm still taking as it as added progesterone that helps the baby attach to uterus...
anyway good luck I hope that this is a good cycle for you

Harmony, I wonder if you have shed light on a problem. Naughty me:no: but I drink no water at all other than in my cups of tea. And whilst my Otest Kits show I ovulate, there never appears to be the egg white to accompany it. Excuse me whilst I go to the fridge as I am going to start drinking 1 litre every day.
