Hi

Prior to conceiving I was taking 1 AVANZA tablet in the evening - 30mg dose. This was working fantastic for me. As there are currently little known about the effects of the drug and unborn bubs, also little studies have been done as it is a fairly new drug according to the drug administration, my gp and ob advised me to stop taking it during pregnancy.
I am now 16 weeks prenant and I really feel now that I need to be back on it to cope with everything. I have another appointment with my ob on Monday and I will mention it to him to see if I can resume taking AVANZA.
I was wondering are there any other mums out there that have taken AVANZA whilst they are pregnant?

Thanks:confused:

Slightly different situation - I was prescribed avanza as an anti-nausea med during pregnancy (severe morning sickness). I took it for 4-5 weeks, but my doctor said to stop as soon as I could due to the unknown effects of the drug. I do have a healthy baby now.

Honestly - I would be trying a drug that has been tested better than Avanza. Your ob should have some options.
