False Positive Result

:wave: Hi, Im new to the forum... Need some help and advice
Did a urine test which showed a faint positive this morning, :yelclap: went to Dr and had blood test, but is was negative. :gloomy: Does anyone know why I would get a positive urine test and a negative blood test? Is their any chance i could be pg?

maybe get another test done in a week or so. blood tests can be wrong sometimes.

I've heard stories of that happening before and they were infact pregnant!

I've had a positive before (very faint), and then got AF three days later. After blood testing me, the doctor told me it was probably a "chemical pregnancy". Hang in there though, there is a chance the blood test was too early to show anything.:fingerscrossed:

Just an aupdate, I did a new preg test this morning and it was a BFP, the lines were strong! :detective: Its hard not to get excited but i am still wondering why the blood test was negative and three urine tests have now been positive? Should i get another blood test done? :fingerscrossed:

Without trying to dash your hopes again, I hope, I'd get another blood test.
When I found out I was preg I really wasn't expecting to be and I rang the consumer hotline number on the back of the preg test packet. The lady I spoke to said it is very uncommon to have a false positive, ie virtually impossible.
