Hello all

5 month old has been sleeping HEAPS the last few days. When he's awake, he's always alert and happy, just his naps are alot longer than usual. He's not too hot or 'overfed' and he hasn't been dropped on his head (to my knowledge):) I'm not really worried, just curious & wondering if any of you have experienced something similar. Is it teething/growth spurt/something else related?

Cheers

I'm not sure if my girls ever did this.
Maybe he is coming down with a cold?

My DD has gone through a sleeping stage, she would wake up, feed, play about 30 minutes then sleep (Shes done this a few times, havent noticed with the boys.) Like the other poster said, perhaps bubs is coming down with something, and sleep would be the best thing.

Probably either a growth spurt or maybe a cold.... if there are no signs of infection then just assume it's a growth spurt. Alot of babies sleep alot when they are growing. If she is eating/drinking ok then don't worry, it'll sort itself out:thumbsup:

Thanks yummmymummy thought it must be something like that. Wasn't worried as he's perfectly ok when he's awake. He did literally grow overnight last night (clothes were smaller on him this morning) which he has done before but without the sleepy thing. Sleepy thing was good actually, gave me a chance to catch up on some sleep and the washing!!! Cheers, thanks alot for the input
