Morning all!
A bit of an odd question but.....can you freeze made up sandwiches? Just like cheese & vegemite ones or peanut butter ect?
Thanks :)
Yup. Depends on the fillings, but yes. I know of people that do that, so they take a frozen sandwich to work/school and by the time lunch rolls around, its defrosted, but still cool and fresh.

You can - so long as you use a decent quality bread - like helgas etc. The cheap ones defrost a bit tacky.
You can't freeze salad vegetables (tomato, lettuce etc) due to their high water content.
I have successfully frozen and defrosted:
All spreads
Cheese
Deli meats
Mashed egg
Tuna

Depends what you put on it.
Tomato and lettuce do not freeze well.
But you can make up a ham, cheese and mustard sandwich and pop the fresh salad in after it has defrosted. :)

I have done it with toasted sandwich fillings for DH to take to work and have never had any complaints
I guess you could but I personally dont as it doesnt really take that long to make up and I think they would seem fresher made just prior to eating, if that makes sense.
