 Girls, do you necessarily have to have a BIG O to get pregnant? That was O for Orgasm. I simply don't recall if I did or not with last 3?;)

Nope you definately do not need a 'Big O' to fall pg!;) Apparently though by having a 'Big O' it can increase you chances of conceiving a certain sex!

No way - haven't you heard of women who are raped falling pregnant (while orgasm is physiological and technically CAN happen during a rape - it certainly isn't a common occurance).
You most definately do NOT have to orgasm to fall pregnant. This is a Victorian Era myth. It is not true at all.
It's actually more likely to happen if you have your orgasm after the male ejaculates. All the stuff is already in there and the suction effect has something to work with.
The theory on sex goes with the fact that if you o before ejaculation then you're more likely to conceive a boy - more alkaline environment.
However, definitely don't need to o to get pregnant - in fact if wanting to conceive a girl, you are advised not to o (or to at least wait till after ejaculation).
This info is from Shettles and Rorvik.

Thanks everyone. The things that run through your mind when you are desperate to conceive ah! Went out to tea last night and this happend.:barf: and this morning.:barf: Here's hoping, but I'm not testing until next week when I am a week late.
Tami-and-Claire, after reading your reply, I feel a bit silly. What you say is true, sadly. Never thought of it along those lines.

a lot of women have never had an O at all and they've fallen pregnant so I guess between that and the post about women falling pregnant as a result of a rape that kind of dispells that theory.
I can see where it could possibly increase the chances but it obviously is not totally necessary.
Doesn't female circumsicion stop women from feeling any sort of sexual pleasure? I would have thought the O was included in that and that certainly hasn't stopped those females from falling pregnant - just a thought!!
