View Full Version : The best nappy?
Ok. so the worlds best nappy, Pampers is no longer available here which has caused much distress at home. So, what is the best nappy to buy then? So far, Huggies, Snugglers, Aldi and all the others leak!!!!
Please help....

i gotta say if all those leak then you might want to try mcn's
I too have had the same dramas, the one that leaked the least maybe 2 out of 7 nights was Aldi. I find my ds is in between sizes. Doesn't it just p!ss you right off when you have to change everything in the middle of the night.!

i agree, well actually i've never used MCNs, but i use terry towling and put a plastic cover over them and no problems what so ever, all the wet stays in there!
but if you want disposable, i occaisionally use the biodegradable ones, i think they're called nature nappy i'm not really sure tho. they are swedish =]

btw ive never used MCN's
only ever used huggies, just thought it might be a good idea for you to try MCN's if nothing else works for you
I would say that if all those are leaking, it could be either that the nappy sizes you are buying are too small (ignore the kg sizes on the boxes, I always find my DS needs one size bigger) or that you aren't securing them tight enough.
I thought we had nappy problems when DS was a newborn (you didn't say how old your baby was?), but it was just that we weren't putting the nappies on tight enough.

I agree, Pampers are the best nappy!!
I dont know where you live but some Coles in Victoria and some BigW in Brisbane are selling pampers on a trial basis. We stocked up for DS2 when we did a road trip to Melbourne. Wish they would just stock them nationwide!!!

ive been using snuglers with no problems, i love huggies but cant justify the price when my chemist and iga has snugglers for 7 - 9 dollars for the size i need ( crawler) .
tried aldi and while they are cheap and ok.. i dont like them i find them to thick and bulky and they leaked probly 3 times out of 5. after trying different sizes too.
would try pampers if i could find them. will look around.
 My local Coles has Pampers :smiliedance:
Even though I've now converted to mcn I've bought a pack because I'm almost out of huggies and as of yet not quite got enough night nappies to get them dry in time.
I used these for both my older boys and they were always better than Huggies i just hope they'll be staying in stock I'm going to need some newborn ones soon.
They are on special at $20 for 46 at the moment too.
