conjunctivitis

when you have conjunctivitis, how long are you contegious for? sorry about spelling, they are big words this time in the morning..... please respond thanks guys xxx:)

Not sure, depends how long you have to use the treatment for. Probably till all the stickiness has gone. Sorry, I'm not much help, but I remember having it as a kid. Horrible. In recent years there have been viral conjuctivitis around, can't treat it and it took ages to go. Got nice red eyeballs from that one too. Have you found any info by googling it?

:)well dd woke up on monday with a big greeny yellow gooby in her eye, went to doctors and he said it was conjuntivitis, gave me the eye drops to use for five days, dd is still using them but it cleared up by monday night, her eye is normal now, just want to know if its ok to take her to mums group today, dont want the other kiddies to get it, they are only 5mths so they dont touch eachother much anyway, never thought to google it, der x

It's contagious while there's still the gunk. You should always continue the drops three days after the infections cleared and always on both eyes to prevent it going back and forth :)

thanks, yeah ill continue the drops untill tomorrow, i put it in the other eye aswel and she didnt get any infection in that eye, there is no more gunk so i guess its to the park for us today yey!

ohh it's soooo contagious... dont' go anywhere til its completely gone. and don't you rub your eyes!!! yuck! I hate it!!!
