ABC centres

I am wondering if anyone can tell me about the fee structure? DS will be going two days a week and is 2 years old. I qualify for the highest help from centrelink with fees.

Aldo, does anyone have any experience with ABC Varsity Lakes?

I could be wrong but I THINK ABC Centre's Fee Schedule differs slightly from centre to centre...

But they should let you know their fees when you enrol! :)

And if you are entitled to the highest CCB then that will DEF make it quite reasonable!

Havent had any experience with ABC Varsity Lakes...have had some with ABC Tallebudgera tho! And would avoid it like the plague! :laughing:

Also I hope you dont mind me saying...but I noticed in your sig that you son has special needs. He would probably be entitled to a carer just to ensure his needs and interests are met! The centre applies for extra funding to employ this extra staff member. Might be a good idea to ask the director about it! :)

Yep I know bout the extra carer and he is definitely getting one, otherwise he won't be going! I got offered talle and I said NO THANX! I am goin in friday to see them so will find out about the fees then.

My son goes to an ABC Centre atm, and we are on the highest Child Care Benefit Rate, and we pay $12.70 per day. I'm not sure,though, if it is the same fee schedule throughout Australia. Again, I don't know if this is all ABC Centres, but I still have to provide all meals (ie. morning & afternoon tea and lunch), drinks, water, nappies for bedtime,etc. on top of that $12.70. And I've now discovered that most other daycare centres provide all of those things- and the price is much cheapier!!! On a personal note, I wouldn't recommend ABC. My son is 3 and he loved it at first, but now he screams when we leave home to take him-and doesn't stop for ages!! It may just be the particular centre but considering they will probably end up going out of business, soon, ABC are probably a bad idea!! just a thought...
