My poor little baby is due for her first needles today (though I'm sure it will be more traumatic for me than her, made DH take an annual leave day off to be with us :o ) According to the little fridge magnet, there are 4 things that she is immunized against at 2 months. Surely that doesn't mean 4 single injections?

How many actually needles will she be poked with?

DH and I are also due for shots (whooping cough, tentus & diptheria) so we are going to be a family of happy campers this afternoon... NOT

Not sure if its the same in Brisbane as here but theres 3 injections in Vic

Hep b
Pnuemococcal
Diptheria,tentnus,whooping cough,polio

In Vic its 2 injections in one leg and one by itself (pnuemococcal i think) in the other leg

Well... we all made it through ok. After a long cuddle and a quick snack, Sarah even managed a smile for the nurse as we said goodbye :)

For the record, in QLD it's 3 needles. Two in one leg, one in the other.

Hi

Ds had three inject at 2 months.
DTP and Poli in one
Hib and Hep in one
and Pnuomo in the other

It was the Pnumo (sp ???) that he screamed with. Booby fixed it pretty qiuck thoug, and once in the can he fell asleep.

Give her panadol 20 mins before your appointment as this helps , as it is already working in there system by the time they get the injects
