Hey everyone, im new to this forum..just thought i'd say hello :). Im 20 yrs old, and im just south of brisbane. I have a beautiful little girl who turns one on the 23rd this month. I dont have any other friends who are mums and my little girl hasnt had any interaction with any other children other then at swim classes so i feel pretty bad about that...i think im gunna join a playgroup or something for her..anyhow, it'll be great to get to know you guys :)

It is pretty cold up here at the moment.. but i have my central heating to keep me warm (my bub inside the womb :))

I am up cause my hubby doesn't finish work till 1am so I spend alot of nights up studying and posting on here and waiting for him to come home

Ahhh...we dont have central heating...im freezing..i should put some warmer clothes on... My husband isnt working, he migrated here form canada 3 years ago, and after getting his work visa last august, he still hasnt been able to find a job..no one in brisbane wants him cause hes canadian even though he has the rights of an australian..Employers are so close minded some times lol....If he doesnt get work soon we think hes gunna have to go back to cananda to try and get a job which sucks alot:gloomy:

Its something i've been debating over for more then 3 years...i dont really wana up-root my baby and take her to a foreign country even though shes only 1...and i wouldnt wana take her away from her grandma lol...i havent met his family, so i'd like to go over there and meet them, but i dont wana go there to live...i think i'd find it harder to be there for more then a few months...not only that, but its so expensive to get there

Your not at all being nosey :P...when we have our normal married couples arguements we both do the "FINE, I'll GO BACK TO CANADA" "FINE, DO IT" but after we both settle down and discuss it, no he doesnt lol...He just wants to get a job in brisbane....he doesnt even care what it is. He said even if we were to ever break up, he'd want to stay in australia for gwen...The job thing is just making everything so hard:crying:

I am also from Brisbane, but am not quite a mom yet. I to am worried about the amount of interaction with other children my baby will have. I was going to go to swimming classes and to the parks when it was older but haven't thought much beond that.
Me and my husband had trouble finding a job when we first moved here as well. It took me 3 months and my husband eventualy got a good job though Man Power.
So I recemend them. You will have to look in ther phone book for the nearest office to you. But I think they are defitly worth a try and they pay realy well.
Good luck as I know how hard it can be, not just the money but not knowing anyone as well.:)
