Thanks for that.
I had my twins at StGeorge Public and thought that I should probably hang a little closer to home for this next one (I'm at Hammondville). I am not due until the first week of Jan (only 6 weeks gone) but am trying to work it out now as I need to find a new Doctor.
Is it an old hospital?: What are the rooms like?: Are the Midwives friendly?: How many ladies to a room? Did you go shared care or antenatal clinic?
Sorry for all the questions LOL

due to me being high risk i had to be fully seen by the hospital but this time they gave me a choice but i still go to the hospital just in case things go bad
pre natal ward has 2-4 per room after i only ever had 1 person with me and i think there is single rooms but im not 100% on that
the nurses where great there was 1 or 2 i didnt like but that pretty normal LOL (after i had my bub i got very depressed and didnt want to do anything and a couple couldnt handle that but the others where great and helped me when i got down)
it is an older hospital but i havnt seen the maternity ward for some time now (4 years) so it could have changed alot
they also offer ward and birth unit tours if you want to ring them they can arrange one for you before you decide on what hospital you want
if you have any other questions just let me know

Liverpool is fantastic !
I had bubs there in 2005 & they were amazing !
I was lucky i chose to have bubs there as even the midwife who did my home care after i left hospy was from Campbelltown & she said they wouldnt have been equipped for us. Bubs was a rather big baby & i had a fairly traumatic labour.
Its a fairly new hospital it was renovated a few years back not sure how many so everything is fairly new. The birthing rooms arent anything swish but they have fantastic big bath for you to labour in !
My only drama was that they have mainly double rooms & some singles but also have 2 of the 4 bedders which i got stuck in as they had so many emergencies that nite that even though i shouldve had a single room i couldnt so was put into one of the 4 bedders & it was dreadful because of the women i had in with me.
Otherwise the staff were awesome ! I had one bad midwife but she was easily ignored as i only had her for a few hours the first day. The nite staff were absolutely wonderful & i cant sing their praises highly enough especially when i needed help not just for myself but for bubs who was traumatised too.
The middies who helped me through my labour were absolute angels & i even had a trainee midwife who stayed with me even though her shift ended an hour before bubs arrived as she was determined to see her first baby arrive ! So with all that we went through i had 6 midwives & 3 doctors who all cried in the end when bubs finally arrived & i dont think anyone missed out on all the hugs going around hehehehe.
So even the doctors were awesome which is a big thing for me as im not keen on them hehehe.
Ok well i shall stop ranting now & if you have anymore questions please feel free to ask me :D
I am having my son at Livvo in August, but if we lived closer to St George I would probably go to the birthing centre there.
Livvo looked new enough when I saw it, we are doing the tour soon.
I didn't know about the big bath!! awesome!

No problemo !
Oh i also forgot to add that they arent pushy about drugs either which is fantastic !
I only got asked after having 3 days of labour & being so exhausted i couldnt stand.
The middies accept that not everyone wants drugs but are also willing to help you out when needed. Very refreshing as i have heard many women saying how pushy their middies were etc.
They also have bean bags etc to help but they dont allow heat packs anymore due to many accidents that have occured but using the shower is much better IMO.
Ok cant think of much more but will post anything else i can think of when the time comes :D
