We were given a baby bath by my SIL, however we don't have a stand for it and, secondly, no where to put it. (bathroom benchspace is nil)

I can't find a generic bath stand, only the Infa bath stands, I'm not sure if they work with normal baby baths or just the infa brand. Can anyone help with that?

or anywhere to get a bath stand? I also don't fancy spending $25 on a bath stand that will only be used with a second hand bath for a few months at best.

hmmm I might have a baby support... for a small fee ;) its a cloth one (and was second hand when passed to me ) - so it's not all that pretty .. but it worked just fine with Jack :D

let me know... and we will sort out a rental plan

note- we never had room in the bathroom either... we bathed him in the kitchen (close to the taps :) )

Miss Veve.. are we talking the same thing here?
I'm talking whole bath stand (of which you stand a bath in), are you talking about little towel-slide-looking-thing thing for bubbalicious in the bath?

I'm not sure that the kitchen will work well for me. :S it's small and stuff. LOL
I guess it would work if I needed it to work.

yes - I have a towel slide looking thing...

no bath stand... I had friends who bought one and hated it... (I dont know if they sometimes come with wheels??) but one of my friends hated it because it was hard to drain the water?? - which is why we used the kitchen  poor Jack was bathed on the edge of the sink... so we could just pull the plug and walk away ..

(I dont know if you saw my post before I edited it??? I originally misunderstood what you were searching for... I'm just too damn excited about the OCSC tupperparty today)

Hmmmmm good point on the draining...
I don't know that my kitchen is hygenic enough to put a baby in  LOL

Have fun at the tupperware!

oh hon... it is suprising how clean your kitchen suddenly becomes when you have bubs... even if the rest of the house is a land mine!! if you are sterilising etc (whether it be bottles or a breast pump) you get quite.. well.. paranoid

good luck finding a stand.. I hope someone comes to your rescue!!!

Can you sit the bath on top of your washing machine lid and then just drain it into the laundry tub? Thats what we do ,and works just fine.:)

Split level house :( the house part is all upstairs and the laundry is downstairs in a corner of the garage (and it's cold and stuff)

I'm good at making up excuses too ! LOL

Do you have a bath?? Maybe just fill the baby bath thing inside the bath and do it in there? That way you don't need a stand.

Make sure you roll up a towel for your knees and babies don't need long baths so try not to strain your back when bending over the bath.

Then afterwards simply lift the baby bath up for the water to get out. This method worked for me.

we had an old piece of board that we put over the top of the bath then put the baby bath on that with the end with the drain near the plug hole. the board didn't cover the entire length of the bath but was wide enough to be stable. we then put a nice thick towel on the half that didn't have the bath on it and used that to change bub and dry her. it was good as we didn't have to bend over or kneel we just used a little chair/stepstool to sit on and saved our backs. now she mainly has showers with one of us and we put the bath away and used the wood as a barrier across the fireplace.
