It was 2am on fathers day 7/9/08 my due date when i woke to a feeling that my water was going to break, an intense pressure that was the same as with DS1. I made it to the ensuite just in time (just the same as with DS1) and my water broke.
I went in and woke up DH who has been sleeping with DS1 most nights trying to get him to sleep better at night. Then went to call my folks as dad was going to watch DS1 and mum come to the hospital with us. After calling my folks i let the hospital know we were on our way as DS1 was a quick labour i didn't want to muck around.
I heard that DH was snoring again and went and woke him up again, then he started to panic as he thought the first time i woke him he was dreaming!
Contractions started at about 2.45 on the way to the hospital and just like last time were one on top of the other.
By 5am I had the urge to push and was in so much pain, the contractions were not even finishing before they were starting again, i was blacking out with each one and i knew i was ready to push when the midwife told me my OB was on his way in, at that point i knew i had at least 20 mins before he would be there so i got my epidural, and i was right i was fully dialated and ready to push.
Hunter Jackson was born at 6.23am 7 pound 11 51cm and 34cm hc, he is just perfect and beautiful and im so blessed to have my two beautiful boys.
I had a large epis and a small tear neither gave me any grief.
My labour and birth was just as i wanted yet again and im so lucky, my birth plan both times was simple "i will do what ever is necessary for my baby to be born the safest way possible".
Thanks for reading my story.
