Does anyone know if lithium tablets would affect a mans sperm count or make him infertile. ????

Just did a google search and according to www.netdoctor.co.uk (http://www.netdoctor.co.uk) lithium has no known affects on sperm count or quality. Might be worth checking with a doctor or pharmacist. Not sure how reliable netdoctor is ;)

I'm not sure if Lithium affects sperm but in my medication book (am studying and working in mental health) It can affect the thyroid, kidney, and cardiac function. I would speak to his doctor about it, inform him/her you a TTC and discuss the risks the medication carries. Does your DH have regular blood tests to monitor the medication in his system?
