Hi there!

I am currently researching for an assignment based on the baby goods industry, and i need to choose one of the more popular brands to do an in-depth analysis. As i have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA  what is considered the best (or one of the best) brands, I am calling on all babygoods EXPERTS out there to give me a helping hand.

If you could rank YOUR FAVOURITE brands in order from best to worst (ie 1 = best), and if you have a few spare minutes, even tell me why you like this brand so much, what products you have bought of this brand etc etc...

The aim of my research is to find out which brands are the most well-known, best (percieved) quality etc etc. So any opinions you have based on experience with any of the brands, or horror stories from friends would be very useful!
BTW i am focusing more on prams, strollers, high chairs, portacots as opposed to manchester or anything like that.

Please use the following brands as inspiration!

Bertini
Valco
Steelcraft
Mother's Choice
Adventure Buggy
Babylove
Chicco
Childcare
Emmaljunga
Graco
Go Safe
Jeep Baby
Love n Care
Maclaren
Mountain Buggy
Peg Perego
Phil & Teds
Quinny
Safe n Sound
Safety 1st
Stokke
Swallow

Thank you thank you thank you (in advance!)

Cheers! :D

I haven't used most of these brands - but am addicted to the Peg Perego brand, I have a high chair and the pram. Highly recommend this brand. However, Steelcraft I've heard had too many problems such as squeaky wheels, so I have steered clear of all Steelcraft products. Valco would be number 2, the baby rocker with the toys was a godsend! Hehe... Safe n Sound Carseats (not on list) I prefer these over the BabyLove brand carseat. So I guess it depends on whether you're researching all baby goods or specific ones such as a pram.

Thanks to all who replied, it is much appreciated!

To better explain myself (having a second look over my post i didnt do a very good job hehe) i edited my post, hopefully to make myself more clear.

Hearing what you all have to say about these brands is helping me SO MUCH in getting my head around it all...

But i do have another question:
Are there any brands there that you have NEVER even heard of before?

Cheers!

Hi there i have a Peg Perego pram and it is fantastic!!! It was expensive ($650.00) but its great, lightweight, easy to fold and doesnt take up to much space, it also converts into a stroller.
I brought a Safety First walker and i wasnt too happy with that as bits come of
easy and it wasnt very durable.

The only brand out of all those that I've used was Safe N Sound (the bed roll thingies that keep babbies on their backs - that went out the window as my child refuses flat out to sleep on her back and the Safe N Sound headroll). Their products are quite good.

I have a Fisher Price carseat which is excellent.
I have an Infant Australia pram and I think its well designed (the extra zip off shade that totally covers the child is a real bonus as well as its easy collapsibility, lightness and maneouverability.

I love the Safe-n-Sound brand - I have a reversible car seat and those baby bumpers because my boy loves sleeping on his side and these hold him in place. My mother also used and recommended safensound to me and I haven't looked back.
I have a Mother's Choice pram - its ok but I would probably buy a better quality pram next time around.
I also have a Bertini portacot and love it. They look great and seems to be great quailty - so far.

I need to buy a new high chair for this baby, and I will be getting a plastic one from Ikea. Basic, and functional, easy to keep clean. No stupid padding to get soiled and need washing.
