Awww bless him for being so worried !
Hun maybe just have a little talk with him & say exactly what you said here that it hasnt bothered you like you thought etc etc especially as its just a developmental stage.
Its good to know you have a great family looking out for both of you ! :hugs:

if it were me, everytime she said dadda, I would be correcting her and saying, "yes, grandadda" to avoid confusion later.

good to hear she has a male role model in her life though

I tend to agree with ~Alannah's_Mum~ on this one!
I would use positive reinforcement and say along the line of what ~Alannah's_Mum~ suggested. Could u maybe call your fathr grand-dad too becoz kids do tend to copy what we call people.
It is great that she has such a positive role model male in her life, very good and oh so cute i bet!

that was EXACTLY my first thought ... to say ' good girl!! that IS grand- dad dad dad!!!' :D he'd probably like that too!! :D

it IS hard when they start to say that (damn the fact that 'da' comes before mmmmmm!!!! )

:hugs:

Aww your dad must feel a bit proud though i reckon cause he'd love her like his own neways. The same goes with my sisters baby. The father isnt around & my neice is very confused, she is 18 months now but when she was about 12 months old she called my brother dadda then he moved away then she started to call my dad dadda but now shes starting to call my boyfriend dadda. I feel sorry for the little bugger but she'll understand more as she gets older.
