Igloo Tent and Treasure Chest from Ikea!

Hey all,

I just got back from Ikea (OMG I love that place):thumbsup:

Anyway I purchased (among other things lol) a great Igloo tent and a fabulous Treasure chest!!!


The Igloo tent was really easy to put up and its large enough for about four kids to play in comfortably:D

The Treasure chest was even easier to assemble and goes perfectly with my sons Pirate themed room lol soooooo cute, its like a big storage chest:smiliedance:

I just love Ikea:thumbsup:

Anyone else got some great buys for their kids at Ikea lately?

Hi S !!!

Long time no see - I was in your home town this week though !

We were supposed to go to Ikea today but Ry and I are going tomorrow now. We a great pirate dress-up outfit (currently on big blue teddy) which Ry loves so I'll be looking out for the Treasure Chest !

OOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!
Every single time we hit IKEA for that darned treasure chest we miss out on it !!!
We get sooooo frustrated :mad:
I cant wait till boof is ready for a bed because we plan to get one of their beds for him as well as a new wardrobe & matching bookcase & chest of drawers.
But anyhoos boof has got a few little things at the moment which will look great when he has his "real" big boy room. We have the mesh thingy that hangs from the ceiling & its great for holding all those stuffed animals !!!! ( Do they breed over nite or what ?!?!?!?! ) He also has a star light which i plan to put near his bed. But i sooooo want a new ceiling light for him as they have either a sun or cloud & as boof has cloud curtains i want the cloud one its adorable !!!!!
Every time we go there my sister is with us so manages to buy something new for him last time it was a new cover for his cot quilt as well as a stuffed dragon lol.
That place is almost as fatal as Spotlight hehehehehe.

I tried to get one of their toddler beds yesterday but couldnt find where they were located on the pick up level:confused:

We went to the new one at Homebush and it is massive (2 levels:eek: ) I was lucky to find my way out!!! hehehehe:D

We bought a Beetle light for Nugget's room last weekend :D (dragonfly/gardeny theme.. nest nest nest)
I love Ikea, dragged husband out there and bought about $75 worth of gear!!

We also got the kids plastic cultery set, its great you get a set of 6 (cups, plates or a set of forks, spoons and knives) for $3 each:smiliedance:

They are so cute, chunky for kids to hold and are in 6 cool colours, DS had a great time setting up a tea party in his tent last night.:D

And this morning his finally worked out how to get the padlock off his treasure chest so his very happily filling it up with his toys as we speak!

We picked up the bowls this morning too and looked longingly at the rest of the bedroom stuff but still cannot decide the theme for his bedroom now that he's becoming a 'big boy'.

I think I want to do a beach theme (we can start with the shell ! :laughing: ), I'll repaint his furniture white (it's cream) and do lime and blue features, combi vans, surfboards...

Hello! I got the Treasure Chest for my DS's room too (although he's still too young to know what it is) and I JUST LOVE IT!

I also love Ikea - don't they just come up with some awesome kids stuff?

Seriously though, it is great stuff! We have the plastic table / chairs and the plastic plates/bowls/cutlery - all weathered very well!!:yelclap:
