Just following on from a question asked...thought if people didnt mind sharing we could pop down the names we have chosen and why....or thinking of - know there is a names area in the site but thought it would be fun for us June peeps to share - or not:rolleyes:
Girl
Matilda Rose
B4 I even fell Andrew had said he liked Matilda Rose for a girl if we ever did have a baby...so that kinda stuck... and I love it too but also like Amelia Rose...my sister called Emmarose and she calls herself Rosie but is thrilled we using Rose as middle name...:D

Boy
Holden Michael
Holden is a family name that most of the males on my fathers side have as a middle name - have always loved it and for years wanted to call any son this...Michael is for my father...who I adore :D

Andrew & I have agreed on these throughout pregnancy so I guess I really lucky!:smiliedance:

I just posted about DH & I finally deciding on a boy's name. We are going with Sebastian Xander. Sebastian from Neverending Story/because we like it and Xander... well, I think we both just like it although we have also bought the series of Buffy!

Close runner up in boy names: We really liked Bishop (from Alien movie) but felt that bubs may be unmercifully teased. DH liked Hunter but same deal (although not as bad as Bishop I guess!).

Girls we are still deciding on but DH really likes Sabrina Faith. I like Alexis Faith and Cordelia Faith... I guess if we have a girl Faith is most likely going to be her middle name!

PS - Can you guess DH & I are mad movie watchers? :D

We're with Georgie on this, Matilda Ruth for a baby girl. Matilda we've always wanted and Ruth after my grandmother. It was very easy to choose this name.

For a baby boy we spent ages trying to find a name, we couldn't find many boys names we liked. We eventually came up with Hugh Thomas. Thomas was Angus' late Dad's middle name.

i REALLY want to share my name with u, but it's STILL a secret till after she's born ;)

the first name starts with a 'Q' (2nd letter NOT 'u')

the middle name will be Tasmanian Aboriginal, probably a flower name (i haven't got one yet!!!)

reason: #1 i don't like boring names ;)
#2 my ex is Tasmanian Aboriginal, so it's something from his heritage

Killakaz- you've definately got me thinking, everytime I see a baby name book I look up the Q names-Qadir is the only one I've seen.

If Peanut is a girl her name will be Mackenzie Liana. I've loved the name Mackenzie for as long as I can remember, I think I originally got it from 7th Heaven, that's the young girl's real name. Liana is after my mum whose first name is Liliana.

If it's a boy it will be Cooper Wayan McCowat. Again I've always liked the name Cooper (Nicky Buckley inspired!!) Wayan (Why-un) is for my dad, who is Balinese, and it is the traditional first child's name. I know he will be stoked and very surprised. And McCowat is the traditional passed on name from my hubby's side, the eldest son passes it on as a third name. Hence my DH's desperation for at least one boy!... The only issue with Cooper is that I currently have one in my class. He's not my favourite kid, but I don't necessarily dislike him either. It's more that I don't want his mum to think I named my child after him. I've only got one week to go so at this point Cooper still stands, otherwise it will be Hunter, which I like but not as much.
It's really hard when we are both teachers!!

Hi everyone

I'm a gatecrasher from the June 2005 board, but just wanted to wish you all luck with your upcoming births!

My gorgeous Emily was born on the 16th June (her EDD was the 6th, but she's lazy like her Dad!). I accidentally stumbled into this thread, and couldn't resist saying something.

Love all the names!

Enjoy your last few weeks

:D

Interesting! I have only told a handful of people, DH and I chosed Mackenzie Peta a few months ago for our little girl! Two days later, Commander in Chief aired it's first episode here and what was is the President's name but Mackenzie Allen (yes, my surname is Allen)

Looks like we have chosen a more popular name than I had guessed!!

Ello :)

Well as everyone know Garretts name is chosen... Garrett Nicholas Lee - Garrett was his fathers choice - No its not after Peter Garrett. Jase is car crazy, expecially turbo'd imports. Garrett being one of his fav brands of turbo - and a boys name - it won. Nicholas just because i liked it.

If Garrett was a girl - it would be Danika Grace - Danika cause i love the name, and Grace cause i love it too - but reminds me of this little girl i used to know, she was the sweetest little thing around.

Well after much discusion i think we have decided on names.
Noah Peter for a boy
or
Abigail (to be known as Abby) Peta for a girl.
as this is our 4th child i really wanted to use my husband's middle name as we have used mine and one from each side of the family so it will be peter either way this time. It took me ages to convince my DH but i have now!!!:yelclap:

We are having a boy and for the life of us we cannot agree on a name. However we have 2 that we have negotiated together....
Nathan- Common name but you don't hear of it much in babies nowdays.
Clayton- I like Clay for short. Thats the only nice thing I can say about that one(dh's pick can you tell)...
We are going with the wait and see what he looks like option this time round.
