We need to get a 7 or 8 seater car once bubs is born otherwise we will not be able to go anywhere as a family.

My hubby wants to get a Nissan Patrol however I am not too fussed about the type of car we get.

My question for those that do have 7 or 8 seaters - what do you like about the car you have? Is it easy to drive? Any feedback you can give me to help in our decision?

If you don't want to post what type of car you have in the thread, I would appreciate if you could pm me - this way I will have an idea of what car to get or stay away from depending on your comments.

Thanks so much all. I know if I was to ask a male about this, they would just say the car is fantastic - that's why I want to get a womans perspective.

Cheers
Kylie

Hi Kylie

We've just bought a new Kia Grand Carnival. Obviously we were impressed with it, otherwise we wouldn't have bought it. But we haven't actually got it yet, so I can't comment on the day to day use. However, there are a couple of families at school that have also recently bought the same car and they all love it.

I also have other friends with the same car and I don't know of anyone who has regretted their decision. One thing though - these are late model Grand Carnivals. The early model Carnivals left a lot to be desired.

Hi there
We have a Toyota Prado, it is an eight seater and we love it!! The very back is a little squishy for me to sit in, but fine for kids. My car before this one was a hatch back and to be honest I have never driven anything bigger than a hatch back before i bought this car but i just hopped in and started driving it with no problem at all. With the Prados the mirrors are really big and you can see everything. The only thing i wish i had was a reverse camera or parking sensor as I do have a bit of trouble reverse parking in tighter spots, not knowing how far i have.
The boot space with the very back row is limited but we always manage to fit everything in.
Good luck
ps my friend just bought a Toyota Landcruiser, much the same as the Prado, possibly even a little bigger but nice too
