My DS refuses to eat most vegetables but he loves dip- I am wanting a recipe for a low fat vegie dip that is easy to make and that I can keep in the fridge to give him for afternoon tea with some carrot sticks?
TIA :)

hey
I have a recipe that my DS loves he is the same...
I get natural greek yoghurt and grate cucumber and carrot in it mix well and serve with carrot sticks and cucumeber and sultanas. He loves it..
or i blend 1/2 a red capsicum and mix it with about 2cups of natural greek yoghurt..
there heaps of different ways you can make dip... my mum used to give us sour cream mixed with french onion soup mix or veg soup mix... it was a hit when i was younger...

have you tried salsa? If he wants it creamy you could mix in yogurt or cream cheese.

Thanks for the recipe MissEdwards! I will try that one :)
Milk_Monkey- I haven't tried salsa but I'll give it a go. He would probably like it because he seems to like tomato based food.
Thanks for your replies!

M2M - I love making this dip - its from weight watchers & i often make it & just have it for lunch with carrot & celery sticks...:chef:
2 Tbsp crunchy (or smooth) peanut butter
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 crushed garlic clove (optional)
1/4 cup of light evaporated milk
Put all ingredients in a bowl & mix well. Put into fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Yummy!:D
