Hi Bec,

I'm new to all this too, we just joined Bambini on Monday, they are in Milson's Point Syd. It was expensive $540 or so but they seem to have a lot of big clients and claim an 85% success rate with their models.

To save yourself a trip to Syd you could always email them some photos 1st, I'm sure agencies would be able to let you know if they are interested from that. I know they need to see personality as well though, shyness does not seem to be a virtue in this game,

I don't know if I've wasted my money or not! They seemed very nice, thought Ben was gorgeous, full of personality and very well behaved. They can't guarantee work as it's the clients choice but she said she only has 15 boys his age on the books at the moment and a few of them are about to drop off. She urged me to get Ben a tax file number as soon as possible which I took as a good sign. Now it's just a waiting game. She told me to update Ben's details religiously once a month as clients are disinclined to call you for a casting if your details are old (especially for kids under 3)

Let me know how you go, I will keep you posted too!

Hi Bec,

I took Ben to his professional shoot last week and it was much as I expected. We took 3-4 outfits for the photographer to choose from, she chose 2. Shoot was on a white background and the whole thing took around 25minutes. They are digital so I got a sneak preview. You are offered a copy of all pics for a whopping $150 but I will stick with the 2 copies they choose for you included in your sign up fees.

Today I got the username and password for Ben's detail & headshot page, exactly 2 weeks on from his initial interview as originally promised. It has 2 of my personal snaps of Ben until the professional shots are uploaded. So far I have nothing but good to sat about Bambini.

How about you and Amelia? Where are you guys at?

Hi Sam,

That's good news that everything is going great. You will have to let me know when he gets a call.

I joined up with them, but need to get to sydney the days they hold the interviews. Not sure when that will be as I work during the week and friday's are my only day off at this stage.

I have found another agency though that don't charge a fee. You do all the work, photo's etc and if you get work they take a % of what the work is. They are called talentscouts Modelling, they are based in sydney as well. Unfortunately Canberra doesn't have alot of options when it comes to that sought of environment.

Hi Bec,

I will definitely let you know if he gets called to a casting! Now that Ben has access to his details page we can also see what castings have come up which is interesting (not that many jobs for 20month old boys)

Good luck with Amelia, hope you get to the appointment soon! Did you end up emailing photos to them 1st? Were they impressed?

Hi Sam,

No they wouldn't except the photo's first as they wanted to do the interview first.

Will see what happens. I'll talk to them again sometime this week
