Hi,
Well, I would like to start my next round of IVF when #1 is 5 or 6 months old. Is this too soon??? DH & I are not exactly spring chickens -DH is 42 and I am 31 so I want a close gap between our babies if we are fortunate to get preggo again.
But also, I had a lot of complications in the first trimester and was on bedrest, so for being preggo with #2, I think it would be easier to have #1 bub around that is not walking yet just incase the same thing happens to me and I am unable to chase after a 1 or 2 year old, etc while preggo.
But really i have no idea, jut throwing around thoughts at the moment as I am only preggo with my first one due next month. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!:flowerz:

We started trying for #2 when DS was 6 months (I had to wait 6 months as I had a c/s). We started trying early because it took us 17 cycles to get pg with DS. It took us 4 months and I got my HPT when DS was 10 months. DS has been a breeze so we didn't think there was any point in waiting. You'll know yourself whether you think its the right time for you or not.

Thanks, Yeah I just dont see any point in waiting unless my first bub has some major health issues or something. Besides, just because I got preggo on my first cycle of IVF doesnt mean it will be that easy again for me.

i started ttc when she was six mnths pregnanct and got pregnant first go! (it took me 6 months first time).. im now nearly four months pregnant and its been really good, because being pregnant the second time drags on so much im glad i got pregnant so early. once the baby arrives it may be another story, but if i were you i would start now!!! go for it!

I just wanted to start off by saying that I dont have any experience with IVF.

We fell preg with DS first try and never used contraception after his birth, so you could say it took us nearly 6 mths to fall preg again (had only 1 AF then fell preg 2 mths later) this was with a baby who co-slept and comfort sucked all night long was not introduced to solids until after we were preg again.

I have really enjoyed this pregnancy it has gone really fast and apart from struggling to BF earlier on (if your considering long term BF I suggest you reaserch this, breast aversion ect.) we have come through unscathed. My main worry after Ollie is born is the sleep deprivation happening again so soon. That and if/when DF has to go away to work.

I really look forward to seeing them grow up together :D.

Not sure if I can make myself use contraception this time though we keep putting off the discussion .

When bub is 6 months they probably will have already developed the ability to roll everywhere. Once they are on the move (rolling, crawling, walking etc) there is NO rest. I think you are far from being past spring chicken status. Wait and see how you feel.

You forget that by the time you're 6-7 months old first bub will be almost walking. But I got pregnant when ds1 was 5 months old and fortunately had no complications so if there is no restrictions with IVF then I say go for it. Body wise you may want to continue doing pelvic floor exericises because I found that I got a little leaky about 6 months pregnant with ds2.
