Need some help please.

I had absolutely no idea were to put this so I hope all you Sydney people see it :D
I have a Wedding to attend in the City & we are staying in Darling Harbour so I need to book a hair appointment(blow wave only) spray tan & possibly makeup.
I was after some Salon names that anyone knows of that does a fabulous blow wave...I am very fussy & I have thick long long hair, I like to get it kinda Bold & The Beautifulish :laughing:when I go somewhere super special(you know nice lift at the roots & body everywhere) so some suggestions would be great as I have no idea on salons in that area.
Also a place that you know of that does a nice spray tan & makeup would be helpful.

I dont know one off the top of my head but i wouldnt doubt there wouldnt be an amazing one on every corner...:D

Phone the reception desk of where you are staying to see if they could reccomend anywhere??

Yeah I bet there will be...I was there in May & did not even think to check some out.
I can imagine they will be very $$$$ but it is OK as long as they do a really good job :thumbsup:

This is the last time I will bump this but I am desperate for some advice.
Anyone even heard good things about anyone around this area?
I guess I will just have to ring around(or google around) & hope for the best.

All the staff at Joh Bailey do the best blowdrys i have ever had - exactly as you described (B&TB!). They have salons in the city.

I will have a think about the other things too, but most i know of are in the east.

A mobile service to your hotel would be good too!

Hey - have been thinking about it and I still think you will get the best blowdry from a Joh Bailey Salon. They can probably get a makeup artist to go there too. I booked this for a special occasion almost 2 years ago now - they did a great job on the hair but the makeup artist didnt turn up! The manager of the salon was so embarassed, he personally took me to the Georgio Armani counter in Myers and explained the situation, they got a makeup artist pronto and did the most amazing job on me!

The other thing would be a mobile service to your hotel - I can recommend Penny from Stylist Collective for hair and whoever she chooses for makeup (Roslyn is excellent) - see their website at http://www.stylistcollective.com.au/home.html

I dont know about a spray tan, but you would need to get this well and truly before you have your hair and makeup done, give it time to develop then shower etc before getting ready (so you probably want it done separately from the hair and makeup anyway!).

Thank you so much Larski for your troubles :) I will most certainly look into all your suggestions you have helped me out alot...the spray tan is no biggy as I was just going to walk around on the Thursday & pop in somewhere for that.
